Classically Christmas Concert This Tuesday in Gainesville |
The North Central Texas Chorale, directed by Mr. Clint Kelley, will present Classically Christmas on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 PM at Whaley United Methodist Church, located at 701 Rosedale Drive in Gainesville. The evening will feature Franz Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G Major and Joseph M. Martin’s Christmas Classique, performed with chamber orchestra, keyboardist Shirley Hatfield, and soloists Courtney Kelley (soprano) and Kevin Beall (bass). Tickets will be available at the door and from Chorale members—$10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. A beautiful way to begin the Christmas season with music and community. |

Gainesville residents will have the chance to enjoy one of the area’s most popular community gatherings next week as Airplanes & Coffee returns to the Gainesville Municipal Airport on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. Presented by Aero-Mach Wilco, this free event invites families, aviation enthusiasts, and curious locals to spend the morning exploring aircraft up close, meeting pilots, and enjoying a relaxed community atmosphere. The event will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. In addition to aircraft displays and meet-and-greets, guests can also take part in a pancake fundraiser, with proceeds supporting future community aviation programming. Airplanes & Coffee has become a local favorite for its friendly, come-and-go environment and its ability to bring the community together around aviation education and small-town connection. The event is open to all ages and offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the aircraft and operations at Gainesville’s own KGLE Airport. Residents are encouraged to stop by, grab a cup of coffee, enjoy breakfast, and spend the morning on the tarmac with neighbors. |
Happy’s Sip & Dip has officially kicked off 2025 Hot Chocolate Season, and their famous, over-the-top hot cocoa is back and ready for winter weather. The holiday season officially begins in Gainesville this week as the Morton Museum of Cooke County hosts the Spirits & Sparkles Opening Reception on Friday, December 5th, from 5 PM to 9 PM. This elegant evening marks the launch of the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees, one of Gainesville’s most charming holiday traditions. Guests attending Spirits & Sparkles will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, signature cocktails and mocktails, and a free gift for all attendees. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on the Morton Museum website, at the museum (210 S. Dixon Street), or at the door. Gainesville is gearing up for one of its most cherished holiday traditions — the 91st Annual Christmas Parade, taking place this Thursday, December 4th, at 6 PM in Historic Downtown Gainesville.
This year’s theme, “Journey to the North Pole,” promises a festive and magical evening filled with lights, music, decorated floats, and holiday cheer for all ages. Families are encouraged to arrive early to find a good viewing spot along the parade route, enjoy downtown businesses, and take in the start of the Christmas season together. Organized by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, the parade is expected to bring out a large crowd as the community celebrates its long-standing holiday tradition.

Gainesville Chamber Opens 2026 Partner Agreement EnrollmentLimited Sponsorship Opportunities Now Available |
The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce has officially opened enrollment for its 2026 Partner Agreement, giving local businesses and community organizations the opportunity to secure sponsorships and involvement for the upcoming year. Following a strong and successful 2025, anticipation for 2026 is already high. The Chamber noted that many sponsorship levels are exclusive or limited, and historically tend to sell out quickly — making early participation especially important for those wanting to be involved in major community events, programs, and initiatives throughout the year. Current Chamber Members who complete their agreement and submit payment by January 31, 2026, will receive a 5% discount on their total investment. The Partner Agreement allows businesses to support the Chamber’s mission while increasing their visibility in the community, participating in high-impact networking, and contributing to local economic development.
